Transformational Leadership and Work Innovation on Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine and explain the role of job satisfaction as a mediating variable in the influence of transformational leadership and work innovation on the performance of employees at the Baruga District Office. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to all employees of the Baruga sub-district office, totaling 48 respondents. The analytical tool used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that:(1) transformational leadership has a positive but not significant direct effect on employee performance; (2) work innovation has a positive but not significant direct effect on employee performance;(3) transformational leadership has a positive and significant direct effect on job satisfaction;(4) work innovation has a positive and significant direct effect on job satisfaction;(5) job satisfaction has a positive and significant direct effect on employee performance;(6) transformational leadership has a positive and significant indirect effect on employee performance, mediated by job satisfaction; (7) work innovation has a positive and significant indirect effect on employee performance, mediated by job satisfaction.
