Rifiana Rifiana, Zuyyina Choirunnisa

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to systematically review previous
research on employee resilience in organizations during the
COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to fill the gap in the
literature and provide a comprehensive understanding of the
conceptualization of employee resilience, which is explained
through its dimensions: cognitive resilience, behavioral
resilience, and contextual resilience. The study examines the
theories used, methodologies, antecedents, and consequences
related to employee resilience. This research explores all
publications investigating employee resilience published between
2020 and 2024. A total of 37 studies were selected from 73
articles found in the Scopus database. The findings indicate that
leadership plays a crucial role in organizational resilience,
enabling organizations to recover and restore good performance
after experiencing crises and disasters. Furthermore, this study
identifies several factors that contribute to employee resilience as
antecedents and its impact within the context of business
organizations
